Which Chalk Paint is the Best? #chalkpaint
I consider myself a chalk paint enthusiast and scientist, however, I am not a stockist or chalk paint expert. It brings me great satisfaction to find new ways of using these very beautiful and incredibly versatile paints. I use three chalk paints regularly: Annie Sloan, van Gogh, and CeCe Caldwell's. Each of these chalk paints has their strengths and weaknesses. I am going to show you how to use these chalk paints and in what situation they work best.

CeCe Caldwell's is the best paint for beginners. It paints like a dream and covers completely in one coat.
Annie Sloan is the most versatile chalk paint. Use it anywhere! Doors, floors, walls, and furniture. I even painted my shed with Annie Sloan!

Hi Terra, I am a Louisiana Girl also and the weather down south can really do a number on any outside furniture. I also have a rocker that is on my front porch and really does need to be brought to life. You said you made your own chalk paint and you used POP and latex paint. Could you please give us the recipe you use to make your paint. I am on social security and have purchased AS chalk paint before but it is expensive and I would love to find an inexpensive way to make my own. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. I really enjoy bringing old pieces back to life and would love to do more of it if only the cost was not so high.
