Adriana Mendez on May 16, 2014What a lovely Lavender! one of my favourite plants! I will tell you what I do....I harvest the flowers with a long stem....around mid afternoon...on a dry sunny day...tie with a ribbon a bunch of them and hang them upside down ( for the oil to "get to their heads" : ) and hang them near window...been doing this method for ever...works fine for me...Helpful Reply

Rhonda Clements on May 21, 2014I have transplanted many, I just dig a nice big hole dig up the plant try not to disturb the roots as much as possible then I add, transplanting fertilizer and potting soil and keep it moist but nor saturated for a while especially if it is hot. I have never lost one, I have a lot of lavender, very healthy and it spreads and makes offspring, kind of like my heather does as well and I move them all the time.Helpful Reply

Sensible Gardening and Living on Jan 28, 2015You should harvest your lavender just before the flower buds fully open. Tie in a bundle and hang upside down in a cool dry area.Helpful Reply
