J on May 17, 2014I meant to take pictures after the gals took the drawers but forgot, so I used a pic from before the drawers disappeared. Please close your eyes and imagine the desk with open cavities where the drawers once were.....Helpful Reply

Jeanette S on May 18, 2014I suggest you cut the desk apart, use the 2 side sections (below the first section of this desk) and then remove all the inside structure and hardware, paint a pretty grey color, paint on cat paws in black (connect paws with dotted lines like the cat has walked and left the prints...last dots lead to opening), put on a black top, put in a red and white (or black and white) cushion, and a front with a arch opening for a "cat house" that people are so crazy about. From the desk top, you have enough wood to make the fronts for two of these. A little work and you can get a good price for them. (It would be snazzy if you could get a piece of black granite for the top! Perhaps a couple of scraps from a nearby shop!) (You could even tack black carpet on one side for a scratch post!)Helpful Reply

Robin Anderson on May 18, 2014Cut the drawer separators on the bottom section, not top 3 drawers. sand remaining knobs off where separators were, drill 2 shallow holes on each flat inside, put shelf holder brackets in holes, place a cut piece of painted wood on top of brackets. that way it can still be a funtional desk, even for putting a computer mother board under neith on one side, paper or other items on the other shelves.Helpful Reply
