Saving older home bits...preserving history
I own an up-cycling business called Junk Chic-, where I re-purpose and save old furniture- I also have a passion for older homes and saving history. This late 1800's farm house door came from a home that was sadly taken down, but my husband and I saved a few pieces and added them into our homes eclectic/french country style. This is at the end of our hallway, usually a place to hang a picture, but if you think outside the box, any wall can be a place to hang some history!
My husband cut the wall trim to fit in the door- we were careful not to tamper with any of the structural details, of the door to preserve it. I did coat the chippy paint with some sealant to protect it from losing any more paint.
