Red, White, and Blue #Patriotic Tablescape

Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Veteran’s Day are days where I'm really a mix bag of emotions. The unity and the sacrifice individuals have made for our freedoms is just unmatched during the other holidays. Seeing vets remove their caps and cover their hearts during parades and the star spangled banner queues the waterworks every time.
Every year my family likes to get together and celebrate this day. We reflect upon the lives lost much too soon and say a little prayer for those serving and have served in the past. We also catch ourselves talking about what freedom means to us and what we're grateful to have. This year is no exception and I decided to spoil my guests with this gorgeous outdoor tablescape.
This year I decided to give stars and stripes a break and let the holiday colors take the center stage. At first I was nervous about mixing so many different styles, but I think with a little re-working, it turned out better than I could imagine!!
I hope you'll stop by to check out more eye candy, sources, and another (much simpler) tablescape at the very end.
Do you have holiday traditions? What tips and tricks do you have to create the perfect tablescape?

Dress up your table with a crisp white linen (if you plan on any barbeque sauces, try a navy one instead) then mix in your favorite red white and blue pieces.
One of my favorite pieces of this tablescape are the DIY'ed placemats (tutorial coming soon!) and the cow creamer set. I always try to incorporate a little 'conversation' piece and the cow creamers are perfect!
TIP: Be sure to mix in various textures subtly and vary the height on your focal point to keep it interesting. Since there's two of those guys, we plan on filling one with creamer (duh!) then the other with a light salad dressing.
Enjoyed the project?
