Cracking cement driveway
-
Woodbridge Environmental Tiptophouse.com on May 22, 2014You will need to draw a line across the driveway to section the area where the root is located first. Then rent a power cement cutting saw. Its like a mix between a chain saw motor mixed with a large circular saw. Cut down into the driveway along your line about two inches down. You can attempt to cut all the way through, but when you rent these saws you pay an additional rental charge on how much saw blade is removed when cutting. Once you get below the 2" point the blade will wear down quicker costing you more money. Once the sectioned part is cut take a heavy sledge hammer or rent a electrical jack hammer and remove the offended area out. Cut root away, replace gravel and pour new cement. Another method of repair is to hire a professional and it will be done in one day.Helpful Reply
