Considering to buy few working tools
in terms of the price wise they are similar here in Australia. But not sure about the quality. My choices are: bosch, makita, dewalt, or milwaukee tools? The link I was looking into is: http://www.gettoolsdirect.com.au/milwaukee-combos.html
Please advise since I am thinking to buy it very soon.

Debbie Harris on May 22, 2014Dewalt has a great reputation for sturdy long term use with a lot of power. 18v or more. Which tools depend on how you will use them.Helpful Reply

The Garden Frog with C Renee on May 22, 2014I have had Dewalt cordless for about 4 years now and they fit my small hands pretty well. I also have the Dremel multi tool and rotary tool which have been great tools. however, my husband switched to Ridgid which is a lifetime guarantee because they have a multi tool which you can switch out attachments rather than it being a 1 operation tool- and those multi tools are something I do not know how I lived without! The Ridgid also has battery life better than Dewalt and it is a workhorse. I find that you need to hold it at the store (or borrow someone else's to see how it feels in your hand too). Milwaukee is contractor grade and now they have a nicer handle which seems easier to grip. I burned up my Makita drill set within 2 years so I do not recommend them. So since you cannot get Ridgid I would go with Milwaukee. Good luck deciding!Helpful Reply

Leslie Long on May 22, 2014I did not see Rigid in your choices above but I looked it up and am adding a link at the end which tells you what is covered in Australia under warranty. I have owned all brands of tools mentioned and they all work great for awhile and then they quit or the batteries stop charging, etc. So, now I buy Rigid tools from Home Depot (not because I work there) because they have a lifetime warranty to fix or replace, even on batteries! Much like Sears does with Craftsman tools. So, I buy Rigid tools from Home Depot and if I were you, would do a little research and see if you can buy them over there, or order online. https://www.ridgid.com/au/en/lifetime-warrantyHelpful Reply

Jackie Westervelt on May 24, 2014We use Dewalt. We are contractors and our tools get punished on a daily basis. We've been using the cordless 18V tools for several years. They are tough and worth the money in my book. We have a Rigid wet saw for cutting tile that we are pleased with.Helpful Reply
