A New Orleans Inspired Dining Room

While restoring our 100 year old home we completely gutted the Dining Room, we then installed new windows, I re-finished the original wood floors, repaired and replaced all of the original trimwork, then added crown molding and faux wainscoating! We love New Orleans and had photos from our honeymoon there we wanted to display on the walls, I love the color red for the Dining room and this is how it turned out! You must check out the before and after photos to really appreciate all of our hard work.
The chandelier and rug are from pottery barn, the old table and chairs and dresser (used as a sideboard) are family heirlooms.
This ceiling medallion is made from foam, I just gave it a fresh coat of paint and the ceiling got a venetian plaster finish in a sky blue color!
I found these very large old wood frames in the attic of our home, I sprayed painted them black and had our honeymoon photos blown up to fit, then added matting and glass. There are 10 photos displayed. I love the contrast of the black, white and red!
