The Making of a Junk Garden Vignette
by

Of course you will need some cool junk to start a junk garden vignette, like this old typewriter, mop bucket, and washboard. Play around with your junk until you put together a pleasing arrangement, and then start planting some beautiful annuals.
I think junk in the garden and outdoors is wonderful, but make sure your garden and yard are well maintained, clipped, and manicured so it doesn't become a junkyard!
For this container garden vignette, I am starting with mulch to cover the dirt in my flower bed. It gives a much more finished look.
This wooden box is a new find for 2014. I purchased it for $5 at a flea market.
This $10 thrifted typewriter is new in 2014 too.
More tips on junk gardening and my plant list is on my blog!
