DIY Monogrammed Chalk Art

Creating chalk art and decorative paint projects has been so easy with my thrift store overhead that I picked up last summer. By simply designing my graphic in PicMonkey and printing on overhead projector film, I can easily trace and color in my graphics on larger items like this old thrift store mirror turned into a chalkboard. Visit my blog for the full tutorial on creating a graphic in PicMonkey.
I've had such fun creating seasonal chalk art on this large chalkboard that used to be a mirror purchased from a thrift store. It is actually part of a large dresser mirror. It will not be used outside. It is just here for photographing purposes.
Using my thrift store projector, I am able to move it in or out to get the image to fit just perfectly on the chalkboard.
I save all the transparencies I create to possibly use on future projects.
I used chalk pens to do the "L" and date. The laurel is just plain green chalk. I love using the chalk pens.
This simple design will carry me through the summer until I change it up for fall. Visit my blog for the full tutorial.
