Inch worm invasion - leaf devistation
-
Douglas Hunt on May 25, 2014Your trees can probably survive a mild infestation of inch worms (also known as cankerworms), but if they defoliate the trees they will certainly stress them. Cornell University recommends the use of Bt (Bacillus thuringiensis) at the first sight of the worms: http://ccenassau.org/yahoo_site_admin/assets/docs/E-1-14_Cankerworms.20591045.pdfHelpful Reply

Patsy on Sep 23, 2016I've got a question re same problem. My tomato plants in planters on my deck look like they have the same marks, plus they have holes or pieces missing in leaves and turn yellow. I won't use a poison on them. Does anyone know of a not harmful home remedy I can use on them?Helpful Reply
