Wildflowers & Pistols on May 24, 2014So many things can be done with these!! You could make them into a headboard, you could paint it and then paint the top 'square' with chalkboard paint and make it into a chalkboard that you could lean against a wall.. like in the entry way or in the kitchen. You could even make them into a coffee table or sofa table! Here's the one I turned into a coffee tableHelpful Reply

Jody D on May 24, 2014I really like the headboard idea.......and I hate my current bed. One more door left to replace so maybe I won't even let the husbeast take it to the garage. I am glad the neighbor will be able to replace his rotted basement door though........thanks for all the help everyone.Helpful Reply

Jeanette S on May 25, 2014Get your whip out and beat back that hubeast (I almost fell out of my chair laughing at the new word I learned today)! I did not keep the post, but there was one where the panels were taken out of the doors and boxed in on the back about 4-5" to make shelves; then the unit is attached to the wall! This would be great behind a door...say in a bathroom....where you could store all the little things that clutter up under the sink! In a custom home we bought once, behind the door in every bathroom was a built in cabinet ceiling to floor that was only as wide as a roll of toilet paper! I LOVED IT! Out of the way, perfect for all those little items like shoe polish you can never find in the under the counter clutter!Helpful Reply

Jody D on Jun 17, 2014@Wildflowers & Pistols I finally got the other door switched out. I want to chalk paint it white and use it for a headboard http://www.mamasaywhat.com/old-door-turned-into-headboard/ attaching to the wall has me stumped. Husbeast is on board right now so I need to move quick. Any ideas on attachment?Helpful Reply
