Douglas Hunt on May 25, 2014I suggest you follow the advice of the Missouri Botanical Garden: "Milkweed bugs do little damage and are only present for a short period of time. Just living with the insects may be the most prudent thing to do." Denise Hacker Woody on Jul 17, 2014I agree with Missouri Botanical Garden. If you really want to get rid of them in an eco-balanced organic way, mix a solution of water, epsom salts, baking soda, one drop of concentrated neem oil (neem oil in higher concentrations will burn plants in hot summer temps), one drop of organic liquid soap and cayenne pepper. This solution will deter insects as well as "critters". Do not use more than one drop of neem oil or one drop of organic liquid soap. I cannot emphasize this enough.
