Can anyone help me start my first succulent garden in my basket?

Question

I have had this basket for sometime and after seeing all the stuff on succulents, which I love, I'm ready to start my own. Thing is I always see the end result and not the steps to show how to do it. Anyone have videos? or a step-by-step guide? thanks in advance. I will post the results of what I do!!

You need to line your basket with something, then simply fill with cactus-succulent planting mix and plant!

You'll want to use cactus soil and line the basket. I would use plastic to preserve the basket and since succulents have shallow roots, they probably won't be standing in wetness, although you may have to tip it to empty it of water once in awhile.

If you don't mind the basket's not lasting as long, then line with coconut fiber, add cactus soil and plant away! Use tall plants in the middle and go down from there.

Use the coconut liner as suggested above. Use a soil mixed with sand or cacti soil..Use plants that won't grow too big. Add plants with a variety of height and color (sorry I don't know how to turn off the underlining!)

Line your basket with a plastic liner from the hardware store (I believe Lowes has them for under a buck) or line it with a plastic bowl you already have, then add potting soil MADE FOR SUCCULENTS. There is special soil out there for cactus/succulents/etc., then start with one or two plants, add some rocks and more soil and you're good to go!
