Nifty and Thrifty Trellis for Trailing Clematis

My old trellis was beyond repair this year! Instead of acquiring a store bought garden accessory, I chose to create this rustic support from the pines growing behind my house. After sawing 3-5ft vertical poles and 2 - 8ft lengths, I used a power drill and 6 three inch screws to fasten the cross bars together. I used a finish nail gun to create a simple design from the left-over branches. This project took less than an hour to design and build! The result is a nifty and thrifty support for my growing Clematis. ( P.S. the plaque was something I found at a thrift shop for less than $1.)
