Old, Wood Box and Leftover Wood Becomes Charming Bench

I love old, wood boxes. They have so much character, they look great with any decor and they are functional. I use them for many things; magazines, blankets, art supplies, etc. When I saw this box at a yard sale for $2, I had to grab it. It is fairly big (36" long and about 11" deep) so I thought it was the perfect size for a bench!
To make the box a bench, we used an old board we had in the garage for the legs.
I painted the bench with Country Chic Paint's "Cheesecake". It made it fresh and bright. After the paint dried, it was a little too "fresh" and "bright" so I had to change that. I used the sander to rough up the edges. ;-)
