Painting a Patriotic Planter and Using Natural Elements

Summertime is a time when we do a lot of celebrating with the good ole American red, white, and blue. However, patriotic holidays like Memorial Day and the Fourth of July have not always been something I would decorate for much. However, I thought I would try my hand at make some more subtle but still patriotic decorations this year. Plus, I wanted to incorporate more natural elements in my decorations too that could last and add beauty to my home all summer long. Thus, came my red, white, and blue patriotic planter!
Celebrate with a red, silver, and blue planter!
Materials:
Paint the pot silver.
Tape off stripes. I decided to do vertical.
Paint blue and then peel off when dry to the touch. Plant your plant and display it proudly!
I think silver can be substituted for white in most cases when decorating for patriotic holidays - plus it also brings in a more metallic look which is always a win for me.
The red was brought into the project using petunias, which is something that I love to do. You can decorate with natural elements and a lot of the time it makes a more elegant look.
