Cathy Soukup on May 31, 2014Whenever you attach two unlike materials, you run the risk of moisture condensing between the materials and causing mold and rot. Better to remove the wood siding and attach a cement board for exterior application to the studs. Then you can apply a cement or stucco finish. The cement board helps with adhesion, too. Ask about techniques and materials at your lumber yard.Helpful Reply
