Update on New FL Gardens

So have been learning a lot in this zone. I am excited to be growing new things that in my CO zone just were not conducive without just have them inside all the time. I have had some problems so far, hmmm MOLES! I see these "trails" all over the yard :( I have now planted some garlic around the beds that are the most effected, which is a suggestion from one of the local nurseries in my area, since well I can not come to actually hurt the critters, just want my gardens left alone. We will see. Hope you all enjoy the lap around the yard.

Moonvine bloomed for the first time last evening. You see the bud under? That bloomed this evening during a rainstorm.

You will find a lot of critters in Florida but I find that encouraging birds, lizards, frogs, etc., and not using a lot of pesticides works the best. I have two acres and very seldom use pesticides. Welcome to Florida.

@Sherrie S Yes I try to encourage the good but this mole situation is very perplexing. I have been enjoying watching the cat and dogs play with the lizards. My Oscar and Lucky actually 'dug' up a mole last night and that confirmed the culprit of the 'trails'.
