How to Make a Fun, Easy Souvenir From Your Travels With a Map Bunting

It seems like every time we go on vacation we end up with a pile of fliers, coupons, and maps of local tourist attractions. The hoarder in me wants to hang on to some of them as a memento, but I usually shush the hoarder and end up tossing them into the recycle bin.
Recently, I did a fun project for my daughter using old maps and it turned out great. So the next time you want to hang on to a keepsake from a trip, here's how you can turn it into a craft project!
I created a fun bunting from an outdated atlas.
It has maps of several colors on it for variety, and all of the pieces show areas that she has traveled to.
First you make a pattern.
Then you cut out your map triangles.
Next, cut out the backing.
Arrange them in a way that makes you happy, then run your twine through them and hang it up! Easy as pie.
