They have become a DIYers new favorite item. Have you seen on Pinterest how many ideas there are to use with mason jars? There are now chandeliers made out of mason jars. If you are looking for a way to decorate with a mason jar, it is out there!
Why are they so popular?

Mason jars offer versatility, durability, and practicality. They are a homemakers dream. Think back to your grandparents - did they use mason jars? I remember my grandparent's and my parent's basement shelves being lined with mason jars - typically filled with canned goods. I am finding myself to fall into the same pattern.

Cathey DeRosa on Jul 05, 2014I like to use storage containers that have corners. They take up less room. My favorites are the plastic shoe boxes. I label each one w/contents. Also, at Michael's they sell rectangle about 1 1/2" ht. divided boxes. This is where I keep all my jewelry findings, button, brads, anything small; once again labeling. These are stacked on shelves in my closet. I also have quite a few large 3 drawer plastic drawer units that fit under my tables and they are labeled. This helps keep my surfaces fairly open for work areas. Also, I have a large utility drawer unit that holds beads. Lots of shelves for these various items. I also have some larger plastic storage boxes for things like all my Polymer Clay supplies, Decoupage materials, Mosaic supplies, etc. I also love to have little things here and there to make my space fun and reflect me. Lots of artwork and shadowboxes on my walls. It is definitely my space and I love it!
