The Paper Orb, From An Old Book

I made these decorative orbs out of old book pages and a sphere. I love how they turned out!
I made these orbs, initially for a baby shower that was themed 'nursery rhyme'. They ended up not matching, but I'll still keep them for future parties. Until then, look how cute they are on my coffee table!
I started with an old book, short pins, scissors and a foam sphere.
I cut a whole bunch of circles. I wasn't particular with size, they will all be overlapping each other so no need to spend time tracing and cutting! Just go for it!
I started at one point and just kept layering. My first orb I pinned in the center of each circle, but then discovered I had to go back to pin down flappy pieces!
So, I recommend pinning on the edges, that way you can pin down a few at a time = less flappy edges!
There you are! They turned out so cute!
I also added ribbon to mine with a u pin. My initial intent was to hang them. I want to still have that option later.
You can cover that up with a circle right at the very end.
