How can I safely get rid of aphids (little green insects) on roses?

Cbrake on Jun 06, 2014Try a pan of warm soapy water (like ivory dish soap) pour it over the plant. Won't hurt the roses and usually gets rid of the aphids. If a house plant you could did in the soapy water.Helpful Reply

Patricia W on Jun 06, 2014I agree with cbrake. Also, see about some ladybugs. Many garden centers can get them for you. I would not use sevin on anything, or any other type of commercial pesticide, unless it is considered 100% safe.Helpful Reply

Douglas Hunt on Jun 07, 2014A good blast from the hose is usually adequate to take care of aphids. Make sure you get the underside of the leaves. You may need to do it for a few days in a row.Helpful Reply
