Surprise Reno for My Parents 50th Anniversary!!

My wonderful parents celebrating their 50th anniversary on a cruise. While they are gone we are swooping in to do a surprise reno of their living and dining rooms! We have done it before with a kitchen reno and now we are at it again!
They have lived in their home for over 45 years… From a decorating perspective it has seen a few incarnations. Like this Dusty Rose and Sage Green combo in 1990.
My parents have always been very supportive of my design career… it is such fun to do a project for them! I have a ton of ideas to bring the space together. There will be new paint throughout, a metallic hand rubbed technique using Modern Masters Matte Metallic paint on the coving that runs all around both rooms. I am also repurposing a beautiful antique mantle to add some character to the space… all in a two week period… so, wish me luck and please pop over to see the posts and tell me what you think!

This is the dining room in 1990 did you have the epic Dusty Rose and Sage Green look?
Living room in 1990… yes, that is a dusty rose carpet!
Inspiration for the new design is taken from this beautiful wallpaper called Linden… I have some big ideas!
Test patch of new wall colour.
