A birdhouse that houses no birds...

This was my attempt at trying to build a simple birdhouse. Wifey wanted one and after seeing how much they cost, I was like "seriously?" I had some scrap pieces of wood and went to work. Simple project and fun. When I finished it wife said she just wanted a decorative yard piece. "Yeah I laughed" but to her credit we have plenty of other bird feeders etc in the yard.

I had to giggle! I had decorative birdhouses...just plain wood...no birds. I painted one bright yellow with a hot pink roof and have birds every year. Only one thing...they poop on everything...even the front of their house!

Well I have lots of birdhouses but all the birds make their nests on everything else, like my smack in the middle of the fern. In my vent-had to cover with a mesh, and in decorative watering cans. Oh well. But your Birdhouse makes for nice middle class housing. :-)
