Carole on Jun 10, 2014I would have to agree - Columbine. I just googled Columbine Flower and there are so many but there was a pink one which had the tentacles that yours had amongst the photos.Helpful Reply

Katherine Floritto on Jun 10, 2014Definitely Columbine - it appears to be one that is native to the Canadian Shield, but likely native in many parts of the US as well. Very hardy, but doesn't like being handled very much., If you have children, ask them not to touch it or (shudder) pick it, as improper handling or tugging at it, will kill the plant. Where there used to be millions of them, now they are teetering on the edge of the Endangered Species, due to both the handling mentioned and spraying of their well forested habitat. However, if you purchased it at a Nursery, it may be a hybrid - in which case, all this yadda yadda that I've offered re the native plant doesn't apply at all.. lolHelpful Reply
