Sherrie on Jun 12, 2014Yes you will have to seal it. Actually you should also seal the clay pot first with a clay pot sealer, the seal it again with a polyurethane or polyarcylic.Helpful Reply

Judy Zandarski on Jun 12, 2014Black chalk paint, or black chalk board paint? If it's chalk paint, you should wax it to seal it. If it's the kind that you write on with chalk, I'm not certain, but the instructions should tell you.Helpful Reply

Poppies Paint Powder on Aug 12, 2015Hi Karen, if it's chalkboard paint not, you don't have to seal It. Just season with white chalk by rubbing a piece all over the board. If it's chalk paint, my concern is that the wax you would use to seal it would interfere with the chalks ability to stick to the piece. So I wouldn't seal it either way.Helpful Reply
