Help please

I've had this table for a while...Thomasville..(solid wood..but I'm sure the top is a veneer because of the pattern....I stripped the table and the water spot still shows...Wanted to put a natural finish on it... I appreciate any advice... Ty

    The only thing I can think of would be a 10% bleach solution, but please don't try until I can get Kevin from @KMS Woodworks here to help. He's very knowledgeable on this subject, and more.

    Most water spots end up being lighter in color, that one looks darker like it is still wet, or it may be an oil type contamination. I would lightly test the area itself and the adjoining area with a few drops of wiping poly rubbed in with soft cotton rag. If after drying the colors are close feather and blend. That top is a thin veneer ( due to that pattern) so any sanding would need to be done with extra care, and by hand.
