Kelly on Jun 13, 2014It's weird like the leaves grow in a single file... Does anyone know what type of Lily? Also there were two growing together but in two different directions. I thought I would dig one up and face it in the same direction as the other, but when I saw what I had done it looked like I cut it right off of the host stem or something and there were no roots whatsoever. I stuck it in the ground anyway in another location. It was then that I noticed the one I had cut away had a bloom on it. Had I seen that before I started digging (my eyes are very bad) I would have left it alone.Helpful Reply

Alice Ridgeway on Jun 15, 2014Day lilies are super hearty. The one you broke off will root. They don't have typical "roots" as in stringy things but its more like a bulb.Helpful Reply
