Aimee it has many names I know it by Dwarf Poinciana or Dwarf Flamboyan and a if it is a tree is just called Royal Poinciana or Flamboyan

locally called bird of paradise but not at all like the tropical bird of paradise found in Florida and Hawaii.

It's common name is Red & Yellow Peacock flower but everyone else is correct also. It is AKA Bird of Paradise (not like the tropical one) and Poinciana and Flamboyan as Luis pointed out. It is a flower of many names :)
