Better Than a Plate of Cookies

Great for party favors, scattered about a dinner place setting, or stacked on a plate in your entry way.
These are a bit time consuming; but super easy to make if you have a printer that uses toner (not ink jet). You can print any message you like, favorite quotes - or create wonderful graphic images from your favorite photo's.
I used a photo we had create for our Christmas cards and then did a wedding keepsake with the date we were married.
Above is the assembly line. Once the text or graphic has been printed out the correct size for the gemstone, you simply place a good sized drop of "Mod Podge" on the text and press the gemstone down until you see the image.
What makes them so wonderful is that each one is different in shape and size and they feel so good in your hand. I'm currently experimenting on scratching the back up a bit and then coloring the scratches in with a metallic marker.
I think I'm on to something here! These little gems would look wonderful scattered around a Thanksgiving or Christmas table. They catch the light, shine and sparkle and you can then give them away to all your guests after the dinner is over.
