Judy Adams on Jun 17, 2014Turn the power off to the furnace and call repairman. The capaciter that turns it off and on is stuck , I had this ,and its a bad problem could lead to the motor burning out. That happened then, two weeks later the whole furnace quit working. That may not be your problem but have it fixed soon .Helpful Reply

Woodbridge Environmental Tiptophouse.com on Jun 19, 2014Hi Cindy, Many new furnace or blower system have timers that keep the system blowing for a longer period of time after the cooling side shuts off. This is to get the extra cooling effect out of the system. If it does not turn off after several min then the issue can be the fan control board may be stuck. In many of the newer systems there is a little round window where the fan location is at. If you look into the window you should see a light. If its blinking you need to count the blinks as it cycles on and off to get the pattern. Once you have that, if you remove the door to the fan area on the door itself is a trouble shooting guide that tells you what the blinking means. If its saying everything is normal, I would look at the thermostat. At that time you need to have a pro come in and look at it.Helpful Reply

Cindy L on Jun 19, 2014The problem was a "pinched" wire in the thermostat. The serviceman said the wiring to the thermostat was pretty sloppy and he tidied it up. The unit is working fine now. Thanks, everybody!Helpful Reply
