Douglas Hunt on Jun 17, 2014You've done some amazing things there. If you could post a photo of the specific area you want to focus on, and tell us how much sun it gets, I'm sure we could come up with some suggestions. And perhaps tell us something about the nature of the non-profit organization.Helpful Reply

Sally on Jul 09, 2014Beautiful work. The areas seem haphazard somehow. Joining them together would make them flow. As a non-profit, I image cheap is the only thing in your budget. I do have some suggestions. Check with nurseries, or even Pinterest with solutions for your deer and rabbit plant killers. Please take out that white fencing and replace with the bricks you have elsewhere. I suggest paths to join your areas. Put your local Scouts for free labor. Brick edges (builder overruns? demo's?). gravel (yuk, but cheap--from county/ road repairs), mulch (? source) or concrete. Lowe's has forms you can throw a little red tint in to concrete and instant brick path. How about an arbor around your bench (Vocational School, Rotary Clubs, etc and don't rule out Scouts) where you could use the rest of your containers.Lowe's has a very easy grant application for $$ (one page online). They will donate anything they have in their stores. One day ALL of the supplies just showed up. Within weeks! Utilize your free labor! Rotary, and like those, clubs. Target and Verizon will volunteer personnel. High school clubs (even Honor Society). FFA? Groups love to help non-profits. One issue that sucks (the only word appropriate) is getting your project through Building Codes. Maybe without building construction you may be able to avoid that. Otherwise, you have to know a Contractor who can take that off your back. I've thrown a tons at you. But been there, done that. Great luck!Helpful Reply
