Sandi Gavlak Plotner on Jun 17, 2014I'm a huge lover of Krylon (or Rustoleum) spray paint. Clean it, dry it, use alcohol to wipe over it. The paint will bond well. Several light coats.Helpful Reply

Cher @ Designs By Studio C on Jun 17, 2014I would also add that using a spray primer (I use RustOleum's Rusty Metal Primer) will help the paint cover the piece better, as well as help it stick to the surfaces better!Helpful Reply

Shelly on Jun 17, 2014@ @Sandi Gavlak Plotner I was hoping not to have to spray. Will the brushed on rustoleum work just as well? Thanks for your help I will try it either wayHelpful Reply

Crystal Cochrane on Jan 27, 2015@Shelly you can paint clear varnish on the paneling to give it some gloss or satin finish. And the shelving you can use a small foam roller to apply the paint if you aren't able to spray it on.Helpful Reply
