Monochromatic Master Bedroom

Our bedroom was the most neglected space in the house. I decided to do something about it and create a monochromatic, restful space. I love pops of color but when it comes to the bedroom -- I prefer cool colors with texture and pattern adding warmth and interest.
I used varying shades of gray and dark blue in the same hue to pull together a monochromatic look.
I added pattern and texture through the gray ikat curtains and framed fabric.
Pillows and a throw over the headboard and the gray mirror add in more of the color and texture.
A pop of blue on the dresser and a plant adds life.
And a little sparkle in the sitting area adds some shine.

LibrarianTellsAll on Dec 05, 2014I absolutely love this gentle color scheme. The framed fabric is especially pretty. I often like the strong contrast between black and white, but NOT in the bedroom. I agree with you that bedrooms should be calm and restful.
