20ft oak tree stump

Douglas Hunt on Jun 18, 2014How sad! Virginia creeper might take an advantage of an opportunity like that, but I'd plant a more decorative vine before it gets the chance. If there's some shade, my first thought would be climbing hydrangea.Helpful Reply

Z on Jun 18, 2014How very sad for the loss of such an old oak tree. Do you know anyone that does chainsaw carvings? Just a thought since you mentioned it looked like a totem pole. Another idea would be to see if you can find a carpenter that would like to cut it down for the wood.Helpful Reply

Jeanette S on Jun 19, 2014This would be stunning to attach some "L" brackets and/or decorative brackets and hang beautiful bird houses or birdcages around the sides at different levels. You could also use some metal strips to make bands placed under the raised ridge to serve as holders for clay flower pots in various sizes! Then set one of those "Birdhouse hotels" on top or something like a weather vane!Helpful Reply
