Stripping Dark Furniture

In an attempt to find a smaller desk for my Small Office!- I decided an old cherry stained sofa/occasional table was the perfect option. The stain, however, was not working with my office decor. So I used Citristrip to take off the stain and then cleaned it up with Mineral Spirits and am in love! I can't wait to finish the office make-over to show the whole room.
A good before and after.
Put on a coat of Citristrip with an old brush and make sure to wear protective gloves!
Make sure to use a plastic scraper so that you don't gouge the wood and go in the direction of the wood grain.
I love the natural wood tones showing through now!
