Bugs everywhere is a sure sign that summer has arrived! To help encourage my kids to spend more time outdoors, I upcycled a peanut butter jar and turned it into a cute bug habitat. With a few basic supplies, you and your kids can whip one up in no time!
Using nothing more than a peanut butter jar and some patterned paper, I created a cute bug jar that should last the whole summer long.
Create a grassy border by cutting fringe into strips of paper. Add texture by snipping the top of the fringe at an angle.
Adhere the fringed strips to the bottom of the jar and gently bend back the blades of grass to add more dimension.
Embellish your jar with pretty die cuts and images cut from patterned paper. Give the kids some glue dots and let them go!
Cover the top of the jar with patterned paper and punch some holes. Add a pretty label with some colorful stickers.
