Hi! This is my first Hometalk post . . . hope I'm doing this right! Anyway, I wanted to share this easy update to an old basket. I used inexpensive acrylic paint and a broken necklace to add some color and interest.
This is the finished product - it's pretty colorful and definitely more exciting than before. It's the perfect place to store our remote controls and coasters.
This is what the basket started out like.
Here's the necklace I used to create the straps. It had a broken clasp and it had been sitting in an old jewelry box for at least three years. I just cut the necklace apart and hot glued it to the sides of the basket.
I painted the inside a shade similar to the necklace for some fun. Visit my blog for more details and pics!
Enjoyed the project?
