Just purchased several types of daylilies that I am going to be growing from seeds. They are: Tangerine Horses, Kea Lihi, Dream Legacy, Love Will Find a Way, Mount Herman Wizard and Web of Intrigue. WISH ME LUCK!

Donna W on Jan 13, 2015I grow daylilies, and have for over 20 years. To get the exact duplicate of the same plant that the seeds came from you have to separate the plant at the root or sometimes you will get a plant that grows on the scape ( the stem that the blooms grow on) and that is called a proliferation. It will be exactly like the parent plant. That is the only two ways to get another plant just like you're origionial plants. As for the seeds, you can grow daylilies from seeds, and I have done this also, many times as well. It can take up to two years to get a bloom, but I have also gotten blooms the first year. Good luck! Using some Epsom salt around them will do them a lot of good to
