Hewitt Remodeling Services LLC on Jun 23, 2014Debra, I applaud DIY'ers for having the interest and motivation to want to learn and do things themselves. Having said that, unless you are experienced working around electrical systems, I recommend you get a pro to install your new GFCI outlets. They aren't the same as regular outlets and can be wired to provide ground-vault protection to just that outlet or all the outlets "downstream" of that outlet. Depending on the age of your house, the circuit could already be protected by a GFI breaker in the main panel.Helpful Reply
