Humming bird feeders.
-
Lexi on Jun 22, 2014I would find out where the wasps are coming from and try to eliminate them from there. Since they will always be attracted to the hummingbird nectar theres nothing you can do to it to make them stay away. Except maybe put wasp traps out to attract them there instead of the feeder, alternatively, you could also try putting normal bird feeders and houses out to attract other birds that will eat the wasps but won't upset the Hummers.Helpful Reply

Brenda Marteny James on Jun 22, 2014Fill a sprayer( like one you pump with weed killer in it) with warm water add dish washing liquid ( I used dawn blue). Pump it up staying as far back as possible spray, the water will knock them to the ground and the dish washing liquid will kill them, but I have stepped on the also.Helpful Reply

Vickie on Jun 23, 2014Wasps usually nest in the same place every year. If you find that and hopefully you won't the way I did by getting stung almost a dozen times, then buy a wasp trap. It's cheap and it works. If you have never been stung by one, then you want to avoid it at all costs because it HURTS. If you do buy the trap, hang it either in the early morning or late at night when they are less active.Helpful Reply
