The Gilded Cage

A while back I picked up this birdcage at Goodwill. It was a little beat up and needed some love. The first step was to clean it with some warm water and soap. Then I sanded it lightly. Cleaned it up again. The first paint job was to white. When I tired of that color, I spray painted it Metallic. Pop on over to see her transformation.
Picked up this beat up birdcage at Goodwill.
Here she is after a dusting of Metallic paint.
A little close up.
Goes great with my gold mirror.
The Metallic was not the first color of paint she received. This was her second makeover.

I am fascinated with bird cages and have started collecting them. I have 6 now, all sizes and shapes and all GW finds. You did a spectacular job! Love the color!
