Look! Turn a Door Into a Faux French Shutter!
I had this set of plain closet doors. These are hollow and thin so no cutting can really be done. I finally had an aha moment while...browsing pinterest. Anyways, I had some appliques and picked up some trim and got started making my own French shutters.
Here is a photo of the plain doors. I took the hinges off so I could have 2 separate "shutters".
After adding the trim, I painted it with 2 different colors then used clear and dark wax for the aged look and so the details would really show.
Look how well the details pop with the dark wax!
