How to Wash and Whiten Pillows

One of our contributors, Kim Christensen, gives us the good news and the bad news about washing pillows!
Kim answers a reader's question about how to clean those yellow soiled pillows!
Click on the link to find the whitenig solution that Kim suggests but you might not be able to avoid the lumpy side effects of cleaning synthetic pillows.
Prolong their life by using pillow protectors and frequently wash both protectors and cases. When they become soiled, throw the pillows out and spend $5 for a new one! If you have invested in down or feather pillows, definitely wash them using the instructions above!

    To help eliminate the lumps, take a couple of socks, put a tennis ball in each, and add to the load when drying. But really, pillows are cheap - just buy a new one.
