Over run with with weeds
-
Douglas Hunt on Jun 29, 2014If you have time, the cheapest, most environmentally benign way to deal with your weeds is to chop everything down with a weed whacker, cover the area with a thick layer of cardboard and then put a good layer of mulch on top of that. Next spring, you can turn everything under and you will have the start of great soil to grow things in. If there's too much area to take on at once, do it in stages. I am all in favor for limiting one's use of herbicides, but I can tell you that all the vinegar in the world will do nothing for wild raspberry or pokeweed.Helpful Reply
