Why doesn't a ceramic top gas stove light after cleaning?

Dora Jobe on Jun 27, 2014What did you clean it with? I would try after cleaning to get a microfiber towel and just plain water and polish the stove top with that cloth. That should do the trick for you!Helpful Reply

Brian (the Engineer) - Michelle's Hubby on Jun 29, 2014Good ideas already given but it is very important if you removed any of the burner elements such as the "sealed burner cap", burner element, etc. that you align them the same way as you took them off, there are air gaps that may be difficult to see that must be present at the ignitor to allow for proper gas and air flow. Also make sure that you do not mix the burners around, though it should not be the case often times the tolerances are close enough that the spark gap is increased enough that the gap will not be breached causing ignition.Helpful Reply
