Creating a Decorative Plate Wall

I love decorative plate walls and had thought about creating one for ages, but honestly the whole idea of designing and hanging a decorative plate wall intimidated me. After lucking into some beautiful plates at the Juliska warehouse sale, I decided to go for it and I'm so happy with how it turned out!
There are several different ways to hang plates on the wall but I chose to use the spring plate hangers. One tip is to use ones that are vinyl-coated so that your plates don't get scratched. A link to the hangers I used and all the details of exactly how I hung my plates can be found HERE
Our dining room plate wall is now my favorite thing about our house - it's such a great focal point for the room! The difference between what our dining looked like when we first bought our house compared to now is huge!!
And keep in mind that creating a paint wall doesn't have to be something you spend a lot of money on - a collage of plates found at thrift stores, garage sales, or flea markets can be beautiful!

Kris {Driven By Decor} on Mar 17, 2015Sure @Debra Hall - it's a slightly tweaked version of Sherwin Williams Keystone Gray.
