Scrap wood turned into headboard
by

(IC: homeowner)
I found some scrap wood that a neighbor was throwing out during a renovation. I bought a thin board for the backing, wood screws, heavy duty picture hanging wire, and clear satin polyurethane. I cut the boards when needed, lightly sanded to make sure there were no scratchy spots, and used a sponge brush to paint on the poly. Total cost was about $20 and I ended up with a cool headboard for the lake house!
