A French-Inspired Garden
by

Who says you need a lot of land to have a beautiful garden? This tiny courtyard garden looks and feels as if you are in the middle of a beautiful garden in France. Designed with gravel paths, sculpture, antiques, and greenery, the space is quiet, peaceful, inviting, and beautiful.
Even though the garden's design is very traditional, this contemporary sculpture adds just the right amount of sparkle.
The homeowner is an artist, and this painting on her porch reflects the view across from it.
She furnished her porch with beautiful French antiques. I want that table!!!
There is no concrete in this garden - only pea gravel paths and aged brick.
The courtyard is full of texture and white flowers only. This path leads away from the cozy eating area that is tucked away into the corner.
The garden gets the morning sun, and the shadows bounce around throughout the day.

Douglas Hunt on Jul 01, 2014That garden looks a lot less rigidly formal than most of the French gardens I've seen, but it certainly is beautiful.
